Who We Are

About Blueberry Hill Farms

It happened when a sweet couple found our property, fell in love, and persuaded us to open our venue for their wedding day.

We quickly learned that we loved hosting and helping couples with their special day. That's really something special. We also recognized that although we didn't have a prior knowledge of weddings at that time, we did have a desire to serve couples. We still feel the same way today!

We believe it's important to share with couples the story of how we came to host weddings. We host weddings and celebrations because we love sharing our venue with couples who love it too as well as sharing our acquired knowledge with couples facing the challenges that come with planning their special day.

We are a family that genuinely cares about you and the details of your big day, and a venue that consistently earns great reviews for going above and beyond. We believe you are unique as are all our couples, you aren't a "number" or a "package". We also understand we only get one shot on your wedding day and the trust you put in us to do our very best.

Since we opened to the public in 2014 the venue has grown into something we never imagined. We've listened to our couples and have done our best to make improvements each and every year. Every decision we make has been made with our couples in mind; how can we better serve you and your guests.

We are truly appreciative so many couples have allowed us to play a small part in their big day. We hope to have the opportunity to play a small part in yours too.

Our Name

Donald C. Mann was born in Elgin NB in 1900. Later he married his wife, Emma, and they raised two children, Stewart and Beth, in Petitcodiac, NB. In the 1950’s Don was a lumberman and entrepreneur in the area and began acquiring and clearing land (Heather’s grandfather assisted in this) for a commercial wild blueberry farm. Eventually harvesting over 200 acres over the next few decades until Don retired in the 1980’s. Don’s daughter Beth and her husband John and their family took over the family farm and adapted it from a commercial blueberry farm to a more fresh package product business with a retail storefront know as Blueberry Hill Farms and highlighted by a ornamental 16,000lbs concrete blueberry know as Super Blue! (Super Blue is now located in Oxford NS.) Upon Beth and John’s retirement the farm was purchase by Trevor’s family led by his parents, Stewart and Joy, who purchased a newer processing facility (the barn) in Pollett River, NB. Eventually the family retired from the business, and Trevor and Heather chose to raise their family on the adjacent property and subsequently purchased the barn from the family.

In 2014 Trevor and Heather were approached about hosting a wedding in the barn and after considerable consideration decided to say yes! And an adventure was born and a name reborn. Blueberry Hill Farms became our operating name; it was synonymous with the community and has strong ties to a long family history.

There are no managed wild blueberries here anymore but over the last 10 years and hundreds of weddings and events Blueberry Hill Farms has become a special home for us. Each and every wedding holds a special place with us, there is little work that is more fulfilling than working with our couples, their families and friends to create these special days. We are truly honored each and every time couples choose our venue and look forward to the next decade of wonderful couples.
